Pimlico
Pimlico is an area of Central London built as a southern extension of Belgravia. It is a grid of residential streets laid down by the city planner Thomas Cubbit, the works began in 1825 and nowadays is protected by the Pimlico Conservation Area. Our hotel is located within this borough, and as such, it was built with the distinctive Regency style architecture known in this area.
The hotel was built in 1828 and to this day it preserves many of its original features, such as the staircase, fireplaces, the sash windows, detailed plaster cornices, the portico… By virtue of these characteristics the building is part of the Grade II listed buildings of the UK.
Eccleston Square
Our building is located on the south part of Eccleston Square. The square is filled with abundant greenery with paths to stroll by and benches to take a break and take in the atmosphere of the area. At its centre it contains several private gardens, which every year open their gates to the public for the National Gardens Scheme. A great collection of native and exotic plants and flowers embellish the paths of this amazing well-stocked garden located in Central London.

There are two blue plaques in the square. The first is for Winston Churchill, who lived in Eccleston Square. The second blue plaque is for the conductor and orchestra reformer Sir Michael Costa, who also lived in the square.
Eccleston Square and its gardens are Grade II listed buildings.
